MEET ARIZONA'S BIGFOOT. THESE ARE REAL PHOTOS. THE FIRST TAKEN BY MITCH WAITE ON FEB, 2010. THE SECOND PHOTO IS A GAME CAMERA PHOTO AS IT IS BEING PULLED DOWN FROM A TREE BY THE HAND IN THE THIRD PICTURE.
Notice: We are planning a dedicated/intensive one month field research study in the area we call the "hot zone". This will not be your "TV-hyped Searching for Bigfoot hit and run event". We are actually going to go there and "dig in" using every trick we can muster to catch the Mogollon Monster on video and in photos. If we are fully funded we will be drawing upon Bigfoot Researcher expertise from all over the US and Canada to participate (by invitation only). If you would like to participate, let us know. If you would care to donate equipment, send it to our address listed in the right side bar. If you wish to donate financially you can either go to Pay Pal and send your donation to Gold527@aol.com . Or, you can go to http://kck.st/zURDP4

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT BIGFOOT, THE MOGOLLON MONSTER, SASQUATCH? HERE IS WHERE WE TRY TO ANSWER THEM THE BEST WE CAN.
With the a few minor differences, the Mogollon Monster is a Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Yowie, Grass man, Hairy Man, or Skunk Ape. The name Mogollon Monster is Arizona's name coined by the Boy Scouts of America after such a creature had attacked Camp Geronimo. There are a few slight regional differences from the other named Bigfoot. The Mogollon Monster has been known as to be a bit more agressive than it's counter parts, and is reported to be larger than Florida's Skunk Ape.
The Boy Scouts of Camp Geronimo have a traditional story they tell of how the creature attacked the camp and how it destroyed everyting in it's path. Because of this story and the non acceptance of Bigfoot in the scientific world, most people believe it to be a myth. However, there have been reports of Bigfoot in Arizona since the early 1900's all the way to present day. There have been over 80 reported sightings along the Mogollon Rim, and many others in various parts of Arizona. On Memorial Day, 2008; Mogollon Monster.com was formed to investigate sightings and reports. This web site is dedicated to their findings and discoveries. We believe the Mogollon to be real tangable huminoids (bipeds, primates, or homonids). They exist.
Absolutely not! Although there are many hoaxers out there who would attempt to discredit or defame other Bigfoot Researchers, this research is not a hoax. We have gathered hair samples, fingerprints, footprints, scat, photos, and video from the creatures. Hair has been determined to be from a primate unknown, fingerprints do not match human or primate, footprints range from 9 inches to 19 inches in length, and yes we have photos and video. If we were to go to court law to try to convict the bigfoot as being real, using the same standards as for convicting a criminal, we would get a conviction.
You must also remember to not narrow your scope of evidence to just one item. Any one thing can be dismissed or declared inconclusive, but when you look at the overall evidence, it becomes very clear. This is not a hoax. Besides, take your own survey. Go to the towns along the rim and on the reservations. At least one in four residents will have had an encounter.
An adult male will be approximately eight feet tall and weigh in at about 700 to 800 pounds. The Mogollon Monster is every bit as big as the Bigfoot found in the Northwest United States. The babies which have been released by their mothers are about three to four feet and about 40 to fifty pounds. Of course we have never had one on a set of scales, therefore the size and weights are a guestimate.
There are many sides to this question and answer. The first is the size and weight. To try to tranquilize a Bigfoot, one must have a good handle on the physical characteristics of the beast. Too little of a dose, and you have a raging beast. Too high of a dose and you kill the beast. We are a non-kill/no harm organization and we do not want to run the chace of killing such an animal.
The next problem is that the Mogollon Monster is rarely alone. You hurt one, you may have to deal with the entire clan.
The Mogollon Monster is nocturnal. They mostly only come out at night. Imagine trying to take a picture of a creature with black hair, and dark grey skin, in the middle of the night In a densely wooded forest which blocks most moon and star light.
And it seems that they post guards to keep their clan safe. The only time there is a sighting is when one of the guards falls asleep on the job.
More and more of the States are adopting a non harm/no capture policy for the Bigfoot/Sasquatch. In Arizona, it is illegal to capture, detain, harm, or kill a primate without a special permit issued by the Game and Fish Department.
Last of all. The Mogollon Monster is the master of the Forest. King of the night, and are very good at escape and evade tactics. They can out see, hear, smell, run, and hide any humans. They are much more agile and strong capabile of handling the rough envionment of the Forests. Humans are simply out classed in the forest.
This is not a problem for most people who don't believe or are very skeptical. However, we have received this question several times from different First Nation Tribes. It is not too difficult. All you need to do is mount some motion sensor flood lights on the eves of your roof near the windows. It only takes once or twice of being flashed with very bright lights, and the Bigfoot will get the hint and go away.
These creatures have been spotted all around the world in dense forests, but they have different names in different areas. Florida, they are known as teh Skunk Ape, In Ohio they are named the Grassman, and In Washington they are called Sasquatch by the Indians. They are just about everywhere there is dense forestation, sparse human population, plenty of food, and plenty of water. I few places Bigfoot has not been reported is Hawaii, Greenland, Iceland, Antartica, and the south Pacific islands. However, Indonesia does have sightings.
Yes, Both Susan and I have seen the Mogollon Monster, Arizona's Bigfoot several times now. So have many of the Bigfoot Researchers who have accompanied Mitch on field research.
Pictures are worth a thousand words.
In Arizona, we guestimate there are about 100 of them ranging from adult males and females Juveniles to babies.
We attibute the lack of fossile records of them due to they bury their dead, and the fact that bodies do not last very long under rain forest conditions.
One of the big problems with the Scientific community, was none of them or any of the Academia wanted to be associated with the Stigma that comes with Bigfoot Research. Recently there has been some break through efforts by several Scientific Organizations. A big one is the DNA study being perfromed by Dr Melba Ketchum. She is doing a DNA study of multipal sources, and having the results confirmed by doing double-blind studies using on affiliated labs. When and if this data is ever released, Scientific proof will show there is an unknown spiecies that has not been cataloged but is known as Bigfoot.
Refer to the Arizona Map above. For other states, use the old thumb of rule. "If you are going to successfully hunt bears, then you go where the bears are seen." In states like Washington and Oregon, the "hot Zones" are many such as Ape Island, Ruby Creek, Bluff Creek, and Blue Creek. However, in Arizona, there are limited resources that can support a large primate or a family of Bigfoot. In this state, look for lots of water, lots of food, lack of humans, and lots of foliagefor cover.
For one, I do not beilieve Bigfoot is a Myth. I have come nose to nose whith one, and myths do no have flesh and blood (yes, they bleed), nor do myths smell. I chase the Bigfoot to prove they do exist, to get them listed on the endangered spiecies list, and to get them protected. I am not like big game hunters, ATV enthusiasts, and city dweller campers. I take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but tracks, and I actively try to improve the outdoor envrionment. If you want to be really in tune with nature, become a Bigfoot researcher.
If you have a camera, TAKE IT'S PICTURE! If you don't, squat down and move slowly away if you are afraid. This shows that you are not a threat. If you are not afraid to stay and observe, squat down and keep your head and hands down and be quiet and observe observe, observe!
Not usually, but just like all people and animals some are more docile, and some are more agressive. It may be that the only time any of them are a threat is when they or someone they love has been hurt, (for instance when hunters shoot first and ask questions later) or when they are sick or in pain and are REALLY cranky. Never come between a mother an her young. Do not make treatening gestures (such as smiling showing your white pearly teeth).
There have been reports of kidnapping, but none have ever been verified. Bigfoot does seem to show some curousity about women and children of the human species. Women when on their periods, and childern mostly when the children are playing. However, there are no document cases of any attemps to mate with humans. There have been several reports of Bigfoot trading with humans who live in the Bigfoot domains. These humans ususally live very quite lives and are very close to nature. Items traided are wood, spanish moss, grass dolls, and sometimes food.
You will probably not be successful hunting bigfoot as you would big game. You will be up agains a creature who may be on the same intelligence level as your self, they can out smell you, out see you, out hear you, out run you, and they know the forest--it is their home. You will not be hunting a non reasoning or tactical/Strategic thinking creature. Bigfoot reasons, weighs risks, analyses situations. They are the rulers of the night. Their dark fur, and dark grey skin, makes them nearly impossible to see, and they are mostly nocturnal. Which also answers the questions as to why they are blurry. Try photograping a creature that is black with dark grey skin in the middle of a dense forest in the middle of the night. Even a day shot in the shadows are extemely difficult.
Do you need a special license or permit? This depends on which state you are located. Some states it is illegal to hunt, track or kill a Bigfoot. Other states require special permits for the taking of a primate of any kind even for scientific circumstances. Then there are some states that have no requirements and still consider the Bigfoot to be a myth. In Arizona, a special permit is required to bag or possess a primate of any kind in the wild. And, I will bet the special permit will have some heavy requirments and rules to the point of it not being worthwile.
You Probably have heard them. They are excellent mimics and they will imitate birds, coyotes, and even humans. They do whistles too. You have to be paying attention to your suroundings. Watch for tell-tell signs of a mimic. Example: An eagle scream. If it happens during a dark night, it probably is not an eagle. Listen for bird calls that are out of place. Such as a Whip-por-Will in the Arizona desert.
As for seeing them, this takes luck. You probably will not see them unless they want you to see them. You might get lucky and catch them in a mistake or by surprise, but this is very rare. The closes equivelent we have to a Bigfoot is some Special Ops military men. Yes, Bigfoot is that good, and possibly even better.
